I wish I had know it was so simple to customize this blog a long time ago. I got a new camera last week and started playing around with Photoshop when I got the idea of recreating this site. Took me less than a hour and it suits me much better than the last. Now that I know it's so simple, you might see it change once in a while.
On the topic of new cameras, I got a new camera! A Nikon D5000 and I am in love. I've been playing around with it and Photoshop so much, I hardly have time to knit. Nah, I always find a little time to knit.
With the cold weather approaching, I'm needing to get some knitting done. I have about 6 totes full of yarn and a kiddo that needs warm clothes. Hand me downs aren't working for Asher since he was born 6 months off set from the other boys.
The first thing on my list is a poncho. It took me 4 kids to find out that you're not supposed to buckle a baby in his car seat with his coat on. It makes complete sense and the thought had crossed my mind in the past, I just didn't know what else to do when it -38F actual temp. I ran across the idea of a poncho a couple weeks ago and started knitting. It's a super simple design (I know I always say that, but it really is). I'm making it big and plan on felting it down a bit to make it more wind proof. If you watch some of my tutorials, you'll know wind proof is an important feature here.
I also plan on getting back to the baby bag. I know I keep saying that too. 3 years and no baby bag. I wish you all could just read my mind and knit it without charts. Haha!
Another picture to taunt you with.
And last but not least, I'm working up a group of sock yarn weight sweaters. You're thinking, ya right, sock yarn sweater, um no! Seriously, these are super cute and best of all super fast to knit. They'll be a good way to use up your sock yarn stash, I know you have one. I'm aiming to have these ready by the spring.
Can I ask what pattern you used for the beautiful blanket you have covering your gorgeous we baby? It's just lovely and I would love to knit it up for when we have our next baby.
