I love seeing my yarns worked up! Stephanie from Weavermania Productions (fellow Etsian) sent me a pic of Big Sur on organic cotton/bamboo woven into a beautiful scarf, edged with vintage ribbon. Yes, it is for sale!
I actually just learned how to weave this weekend, so I know all the work that went into this scarf. I went into my LYS thinking I would just drop off some yarn and run, but Amy tackled me and forced me to take her rigid heddle loom home with me. Ok, so maybe she didn't force me, but a fiber addict like myself can't say no to learning a new fiber related art.
Here is what I made:
It's 100% bamboo. I do wish I had made it at least another foot longer, but it works. I can't decide if it should be a table runner or a scarf. Maybe it'll be both :-) Black bamboo striped with Elegance. My next project I'll try some float patterns.
Bwahaha!
