I sat down to eat my tasty lunch of summer squash, tomatoes, onions and sausage while holding Asher. He was big time interested in what was in my bowl and I thought, "Eh, why not?" So I picked up a cube of soft summer squash and just held it in front of him. He grabbed my hand and pulled it toward his mouth. First he had a look of surprise, then he started salivating and really pulling my hand to his mouth, gummed it up and swallowed. I picked up another piece which he very enthusiastically grabbed, followed by another. He might have even eaten more but I didn't want to overwhelm him and he seemed happy with what he got. I wasn't planning on starting solids until he was 6 months but I didn't want to deny his curiosity.
What do you think?
